DHSS Seeks Direct Service Worker Input – Join Panel Today
Improving the field of aging services is part of LeadingAge Missouri’s mission! And positioning LA MO members to make contributions is one way to advance it. Right now, there is an opportunity for LA MO members to support their direct carestaff in making contributions to our field and simultaneously allow them to grow and discover the difference they can make toward long-term care improvement. When staff share thoughts and ideas, members know it leads to better senior care. Why not position them to share similar ideas and contributions with DHSS?
The DHSS’ Division of Senior and Disability Services (DSDS) seeks additional Direct Service Workers to join an existing panel. Last year DSDS received valuable information and contributions from panelists and they want to expand the work. DSDS is seeking 15 current Direct Service Workers with experience and knowledge to share. If LA MO members wish to recommend a Direct Service team member to become a panelist, reach out to the Bureau of Policy and Quality Enhancements at LTSS@health.mo.gov.

From Our Business Partner Foulston – Issue Alert: Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) Reporting Requirements Reinstated with Extended Deadline to March 21, 2025
There have been efforts to delay or curb the CTA’s reporting requirements, but none have been enacted. The House of Representatives recently passed the “Protect Small Businesses from Excessive Paperwork Act” by a vote of 408-0, which would push the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting deadline for existing reporting companies to Jan. 1, 2026 — one year later than the original deadline. However, companies formed after Jan. 1, 2024, would still be subject to the CTA’s original filing deadline (30 days after formation). As of this publication, the House bill has not yet been submitted for a vote in the Senate.
Until the CTA or its regulations are changed, reporting companies who have not previously filed their BOI reports or any updates should do so by the new March 21 deadline, as well as any BOI reports or updates that come due thereafter. Read the alert on foulston.com.
