New 5-Star Analytic Reports

The latest 5-Star reports are now available for viewing and download. These analytical reports highlight facility cut points, offering helpful insight for enhanced star ratings. The 5-Star reports are a valuable LA MO benefit designed to assist certified SNFs with strategies to improve care quality and ratings. You can access your report through the LeadingAge Report Portal at https://leadingage.org/leadingage-report-portal/.

LeadingAge Salary Study

The 2025 Nursing Home Salary & Benefits Study deadline is extended to May 28. This annual national study is conducted by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service in cooperation with LeadingAge.  There is no cost to participate in the study and participating members qualify for a reduced study purchase rate ($190 vs $400 nonparticipant rate).

During this year’s Annual Meeting, LeadingAge will recognize the critical role of frontline nurse supervisors in the long-term services and supports (LTSS) workplace. Supplemental Health Care Service “Staffing” Agencies Regulation

Any registered supplemental health care services agency that contracts with a health care facility participating in Medicare or Medicaid must submit quarterly reports to the DHSS with the following information:

  • Detailed list of each health care facility participating in Medicare or Medicaid with which agency contracted over prior quarter.
  • Detailed list of the average “hourly” amount charged by the agency to the health care facility over the prior quarter, broken down by health care facility and each individual health care personnel category within each job classification (including but not limited to nursing, therapy, dietary/nutrition, lab, and radiology).
  • Detailed list of the average “hourly” amount paid by the agency to health care personnel over the prior quarter, broken down by health care facility and each individual health care personnel category within each job classification, including but not limited to nursing, therapy, dietary/nutrition, lab, and radiology.

Pursuant to section 198.644, RSMo, DHSS is required to prepare an annual report of aggregate data received from the agencies without including information specific to any one agency. This report summarizes data received by the department in 2024, which was the first full year the department received reports.  The 2024 report can be found here: https://health.mo.gov/safety/shcsa/annual-report.html
