Invitation to Comment: Rural Health Transformation Program

The Missouri Department of Social Services, through its MO HealthNet Division (MHD),  seeks input on the Rural Health Transformation Program. This new federal program, created under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R.1), will distribute $50 billion nationwide between 2026 and 2030 to support innovative strategies for improving rural healthcare.

CMS recently provided details on states’ application process, timing, and more, as explained in LeadingAge’s  HR 1 RHT Program serial post.  MHD is seeking public input on key initiatives and priorities to consider for potential funding. Each state must apply to receive funding, and Missouri’s application will be guided by the priorities identified during this public comment period.   Your comments will help shape Missouri’s application and priorities.

LeadingAge Missouri urges you to express your opinions on rural healthcare, which affects many of our members and residents across the state. We encourage you to dedicate a moment of your time to share your insights on funding initiatives aimed at improving rural healthcare in Missouri. Your voice is vital in shaping the future of healthcare services in our communities.
