- Talk Title: Robots and the Red Planet: NASA’s Explorers on Mars
- Talk Description: NASA’s robotic fleet, including orbiters, landers and rovers, have enabled key science discoveries on Mars over the course of 60 years. From Mariner 4’s first flyby in 1965 to the Ingenuity helicopter’s historic first flight in 2021, NASA spacecraft have changed our understanding of Mars’ past and present conditions. Questions about Mars continue to drive NASA’s present and future mission plans, including whether life ever took hold on the Red Planet, and whether human explorers will one day take the first steps on Mars.
